Morning Shiva Power class! Rise and shine. It’s time for yoga! Yoga is the stopping of the fluctuations of the mind. This is another way of saying that yoga is concentration. Concentration is defined as focusing the mind on one object. Meditation is defined as sustained concentration. And deep meditation is called Samadhi. What happens in Samadhi? The subject and object merge. For a moment — it is as if you lose a sense of yourself as the meditator. No more body, mind, and ego. And in this moment — the yogis tell us — you get to experience the true nature of your Self. Yoga answers the big life question — Who am I? Am I this body? Am I this mind? Am I these thoughts? When you experience the true nature of the Self — love, kindness, compassion, energy, vitality, confidence, and bliss flow through you. Sounds pretty good! Sign me up for some of that. 😁
This class was a big twisting class. Spinal twists are good for the spinal discs, strengthen and stretch the core muscles, and are good for digestion. Really memorable practices on this retreat adventure. We got to cover so much more than in a regular class.

It was a really transformational week! Grateful to have been able to spend so much time with these students
