Shiva Yoga® Certification & Yoga Alliance® Registration: 

The Shiva Yoga® 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Teacher Training Program is the ideal program for the serious practitioner of yoga and essential for those who want to become a certified Shiva Yoga® Shiva Vinyasa® Level One teacher and for those who want to become a Yoga Alliance® registered yoga teacher at the 200hr level. 

Shiva Yoga® Lineage:

Shiva Yoga® draws inspiration from; Dharma Yoga, Vinyasa Krama, Vinyasa Flow, Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Yoga Therapy Rx and Yoga Tune Up.  

Program Eligibility:

This program is ideal for aspiring teachers and those who are interested in deepening their yoga practice.  

Course Outline:

Students will begin each day with a Shiva Power® class or a Shiva Vinyasa® Level One class, and with a Shiva Meditation® class or a Personal Sadhana meditation practice, followed by philosophy discussion and yoga theory.  

Afternoons will consist of additional yoga theory, practical workshops, learning anatomy and physiology, studying alignment and asana breakdown, learning how to use props and modifications, assisting and adjusting, learning about pranayama, mudra and bandha and the subtle body, studying yoga philosophy, studying the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, learning about meditation, learning about yoga history and the Shiva Yoga® lineage, and practice teaching.

Program Eligibility:

This program was designed for teachers who have already completed the Shiva Yoga® 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Teacher Training Program, or an equivalent 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Program.  

*If you have not completed a 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Program, then you are encouraged to attend the next Shiva Yoga® 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Teacher Training Program in your area, or to complete an equivalent 200hr Yoga Alliance® Registered Program before signing up for this program.
